The day was spent at Suntec, Singapore Garden Festival. After walking and enjoying the scenery for a few hours, a certain plant caught my eye, its on sale and for wat its worth, i paid 15 bucks for it. Here are some of its characteristics after researching about the first "live" plant I've gotten, another sign that i've aged (plants are alive instead of fake)
- If your plant is growing in a terrarium, you will have to provide it's food. The plant will consume 2 or 3 flies each month. You can also purchase small crickets at a local pet shop as food. Dead flies and insects may be used, provided that they died of natural causes and not by poisons. ( i know this gives most of it away, but the last sentence "provided that they died of natural causes and not by poisons" totally justifies it)
- Add sunlight slowly, over the course of a few days, to prevent sunburn
- Never, never, never feed your plant hamburger. The fat content in burger will be fatal to your plant..
- Artificially springing the trap, (poking it with your finger), drains the plant's energy. If this is done too often, the trap head will become less sensitive and possibly die.
tadah....
Pretty, simply unique
