this thought kept poping up these few days. "wat would u do if you are financially able". we always use money as an excuse to continue working. the usual words are "financially commitments, family, car, house, parents, kids" watever reason as long as it keeps the cycle going.
did we ever entertained the thoght of wat to do when ur rich? would u be pilanthropic enough to donate all ur wealth and live sparingly? or would u continue to accumulate it further so that your next, next next, next next next generation wouldnt have to worry? would we buy a condo? a hdb and renovate it to look like a condo? a landed property in sentosa cove to enjoy the high life? a porshe or lamborghini or just a vios or fit. or maybe
maybe we're just too in love of our job, without our job, we are totally lost, directionless. most of our frens are made from the work place, and they are the ppl who you interact most, and for those who really clicked with, you would even be meeting up outside the workplace coffee and even weekends for some golf or soccer?
now it seems like everything revovle around it, the main priority, the most inner circle, every other circle is built around it. just like how roma is built around totti, u get the idea?
no work = lesser frens, = nothing to force us to wake up to in the morning, = no expectation to head home once the clock strikes 6pm cos your home most of the time. might even make your house less bearable cos you are in it everytime, just like how dogs would beg for the chance to run around the estate or simply downstairs, any where as long as its not in the house.
how many of us would be able to really leave everything behind or even totally let go? i wish i could, i really wish i could
