Was going through mona’s recent post and chanced upon this “ Top 3 Highlights of 2006”.
Was tempted into writing mine to refresh my turning points of 2006 and might even be the formative choices of my future life?
1. Coaching at MJS. I had a relatively short coaching stint around April to July while concurrent with mySingapore Pools bookie job. It reignited the most raw form of my interest in badminton and showcased how every individual’s choices might actually impact on another’s greatly, in the case of my choices might affect them greatly. Anyway its easy money without stress and watching the talented ones working their way to their full potential is inspiring. Due to this short cameo, I went on coaching till this very day and who knows, maybe I’ll be a full-time coach in the near future
2. I know its very typical, but for records sake, I was drafted into police and happen to be awarded best in operations and field and so was interviewed for certain post and resulted in me being staff assistance to deputy commander of traffic police. Because of that, I was given a 8-6 desk job and most importantly, the ability to study a part time degree. And so, I will be 2 years faster than my peers or elites of my age, enough said
3. Bought my first unit trust. Im not emphasizing that its hard to take out money and buy things(just a few dollars poorer la, how hard can it be), it means that I for once followed upon what I loved and not give up halfway. Opportunities do not come frequent and its exceptionally hard to grasps it when it comes in your way. Maybe this might be the making of a good day in the future?
To a good 2007 and better opportunities for those worthwhile. too many a times were chances given to ppl who are not worthy, and the talents were left to sulk.
