its april already! and 20 more days to clearing leave. But my project is far from done. Really hope im able to come up with something of value in this short timeframe.

now its the right time to start acting on "time after NS". should i start searching for interview? or should i take a break? some bagpacking? or perhaps a lil travelling? wat about the diving course i had always wanted to take?

btw, exams timetables are out, so following days will be pacey.

its 2230 and its half time, the score waging at man u 1 - 0 liverpool with the reds down to 10 men.

thou its only half time, the heart is half-sunk, hopefully it wun be fully-sunk in another 45 mins.

well, thats part and parcel for a football fan, or maybe just a liverpool fan

its 10am, only 10am, and only monday. no doubt the works easy and basically zero-stress cos the replacement's here, but the heart ain here anymore. well ord will come soon, in 1 month's time to be exact.

with 3 test within 2 weeks, the pressure's building up.
the want to do well yet not quite understanding the need to do so,
the want to earn moolah but not quite comprehending the need for that piece of paper,
knowing its only 8 more months but feeling increasingly drained as the days go by.

for every additional interview i don on the business attire, there comes less anticipation, less anxiety, less awareness, less conscience of the judging eyes. social conditioning they say, thou I haven been to much interviews, do ppl get used to inteviews?

instead im filled with my own objectives, simply to get the answers to my checklist, gaining an insight of wat i might get myself into.

the day i swapped my comfortable seat in my 3m by 3m with a com set, firearm and raincoat.

all thanks to by now singapore's most famous man, i was called into action. thou it was physically taxing and demanding, time passes fast, and it helps to rest the mind.

stopped my constant thinking of getting rich, how to make money. Maybe thats wat they mean when they say "i was busy with work".

no doubt it fun but its not worth the degree.

till i find wats worth

One thing women men need to know about...

in 18th century europe and america, a nagging wife was punishable by law.

the solution to nagging is to recognise that career women feel satisfied and fulfilled with their lives rarely nag at home. nagging is a red flag from a woman who feels that her efforts are not being recognised.

so now we know, women nag not becos they want to, just that they are.... a little lousy stressed out at work?

no wonder girlfriends mothers are not rich.

Page 8 on today's THE NEW PAPER
OPEC hits back at Bush
One day after being rebuked by US President George Bush, the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has hit back, saying yesterday it will not put more oil on the market.
This is despite near record-high oil prices.

Instead, OPEC president Chakib Khelil said the global market is being affected by "the mismanagement of the US economy".

On Tuesday, President Bush had criticised OPEC, saying "I think it's a mistake to have your biggest customers' economies slowing down as a result of higher energy prices."

WAHAHAHAHAHA.

Candid is the word. Totally loved it.

We can only blame ourselves for letting the "Biggest customers" take too much power, and with all the top scholers, Nobel Prize winners, management theories, economical models, CFA analysis yada yada.... they still screwed up.

if you had caught the CDO ppt thats being circulated, you would remember this last slide:

Norwegian Village Pension Fund : "Well, thats just great asshole, What am I supposed to tell my customers?"
RSG Investment Bank : "Tell them you fucked up"
Norwegian Village Pension Fund : "Fuck You:
RSG Investment Bank :"Fuck You"
~THE END~

finally the reds are getting on track with torres scoring a brace, again.

well, the real test will come next week.

isn it incredible how guys can put all their hope into a team and fully support it, no matter how hard they were owned or how incredible their own goals were, you just cant fault ur team, we may sulk and grumble, but deep down its as pure as gold.

alright, maybe not all guys do tham, but im surely one of them

right from the days of robbie fowler and the "spice boys", if you know who they are, thats my era, when i started.

well thats a die-hard fan's point of view.

on the other hand, i feel they are overrated, very much overrated, earning big bucks without paper qualifications, just play ball each day and drive home in their porches and ferraris.

ever imagined the industry would turn out this way? a. with ppl religiously attending soccer matchs thou the ticket prices are sky-high b. players costing millions, they just play ball for god's sake.

thou the body is sitting here in front of the com, the mind has left for a faraway place, to a place beyond the overrated 3 letter word O.R.D, thinking about wat could be done with the increase in pay, the increase in choices constricted by pay, how life would change for the better, able to enjoy without feeling the pinch. at then, 1 mths pay could easily afford a htc cruise or n82, medium rare steaks would be an anytime affair, and in a few years time, no more squeezing through traffic nor the need for shelter during raining times.

in the meantime, i shall just sit in front of the com and dream.

its been quite awhile since i dawn on a business attire, last recall was during poly times where it was a regular outfit due to presentations.

well some getting used to i guess, hope this social engineering would fly by cause its the standard uniform amongst the raffles place crowd.

reminding me or a scene in "singapore dream",

where someone said" before you actually made it, you got to look like u already made it"

The ironed shirts, tailored pants, shiny cufflinks, pointed shoes and well managed hairdo..... argh, the standard uniform. its like back to school again, or did we ever leave it?

As we know that 20% of the world's richest hold 80% of the world's wealth,

so whose calling the bluff?

its mondays once again, and somehow its always monday where i feel the want to write.

not that the passed week have been uneventful, actually there were so much to write and record, its just no mood, no feel, ye know.

some snippets of the passed week and what might happen for the next

1 i bought myself a set of black mahjong, its whole black looking exactly like this http://sg.88db.com/sg/Services/Post_Detail.page/buy_sell/Toys_Collectibles/?PostID=94325
a certain colleugue mentioned buying 4D with the tiles we first pick right after openign the packaging, 0168, guess wat we hit a starter for sat, being the never satisfied singaporeans, we bought another set of numbers 0256(i dreamt of us playing mahjong and picked the tiles 0256) and we hit another starter again. maybe god's telling to take it easy? or maybe he knows i really need a bag, a zinc bag.

2 i went for an entreprenueral and investment seminar and I agreed for an interview this coming week, i know im still in ns, but no harm trying and gauging yourself against the corporate ladder yea?

3 the boss is heading to shanghai for the whole week and so im free to roam, with most of the job delegated to my understudy, countdown to ord couldnt be sweeter.

4 and theres 2 soccer matches and a kayaking trip coming up this week, reporesenting TP for their inter-department games and bootcamp for TP
