At a random coffeetable talk, the following conversation made my day:

The man's got style, i like that, a pity im not able to see his endeavours, i've already convinced myself hes gonna make big trails and hit milestones, its time that will justify it.

Some say its a fight for fame, others name it quest for power.

i say its evolution, change is always nice when you change with change, in a good way that is.

the father bought a new hp today. a samsung to replace the spoilt lg. its a simple phone fitting nice in a simple man's pocket. its not wrong to be simple but it pains to know he's one that got left behind. left behind by technology, by education, and in a way, the gahmen.

its not the gahmens fault with all the initiatives and agency like WDA, SES, NTUC, employability skills and stuff, but i do not have the heart to fault the man himself, for he sacrificed tons for the family, the wife and mostly me.

it hurts even further that knowing the gahmen's are looking to help ppl like him, and he on the other hand needs the skills just as much, but due to work and the different working hrs thats tied to it, everythings is hanging in mid air and eventually back to the drawing board

it nv feels gd to be left behind, from simple things such as friends not calling you out for a gathering, to knowing how much u've lagged behind when your classmates are getting their degrees, stepping on gas pedals of hondas and mitsubishis, just imagine getting left behind by a whole country, economy.

now the big Q is wat will you do

Its been awhile since the last update thanks to the CNY trip back to hometown Msia and the coming of my replacement. And YES!!! he is finally here. In a bid to picture a good predecessor, I forbid myself from frequent checking of stock pricing and totally stopped surfing blogs and hence lesser entries.

Its not easy teaching a newbie straight out from the barracks, neither with brunt of society nor with the political experience required. No doubt he is academically inclined having a scholarship with PSB which bears his whole NTU course fees while giving an allowance of 3k per month, teaching is still taxing, being especially so for me who has grown so used to checking blinkymummy’s and goofyscrewball’s every morning.

Anyway CNY is CNY, a gathering or all, and judging from current state of society, ALL present is no mean feat for ALL refers to 7 brothers and a lady gathering at a far away place with 6 out of the 8 residing in the small dot 8 hrs ride away.

Btw, it was a first seeing the father going at 140+kph, with the usual “safety first” mentality taking a back seat. Goes future to prove it’s always a matter of choice and discipline instead of the always proclaimed “circumstances force me to” and “no choice”
